The Certified Trust and Fiduciary Advisor is a designation awarded by the American Bankers Association intended to assess and certify a financial professional’s knowledge and ability in the field of trusts and financial advice. Eligible candidates must meet significant wealth management experience, ethics, and training requirements, as well as passing an examination. Designees are required to uphold the code of ethics to “maintain a high standard of conduct, competency, knowledge, professionalism, integrity, objectivity and responsibility as they discharge their duties in the practice of their profession.”
