About the Artist: Enid Williams
Enid Williams received her M.F.A. in painting from Kent State University in 1996 and her B.A. in studio art from the University of Toledo in 1992. Her work explores the interwoven use of kinetic ellipses that have largely inspired the optical complexity and spatial ambiguity of her work.
In 2011, Enid was awarded a Pollock-Krasner Foundation Grant. Her work is included in public and private collections including the Colombus Museum of Art in Ohio, the Contemporary Carolina Collection at the Medical University of South Carolina, Charleston, and the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Ohio. She has exhibited at the Carnegie Museum of Art in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the Columbus Museum of Art in Ohio, the State Museum of South Carolina, and the Greenville County Museum of Art, in South Carolina. She resides in Greenville, South Carolina, and is represented by Hampton III Gallery in Taylors, South Carolina.
