Through a story comparing two CEOs, Lencioni contrasts the ideas of leadership as a gift and leadership as a responsibility. He also dives into the results of poor motivations, such as avoiding hard conversations or accepting accountability. Throughout the story, the reader is encouraged to embrace leadership as a selfless calling.
