From creating budgets to understanding credit, our team simplifies challenging concepts into actionable steps to impact people of all ages and experiences. We also participate in local projects to help repair homes, replant trees, and celebrate the spirit of the holidays delivering toys to hospitalized children.

Yes, we would love to help you act on any recommendations we suggest based on our financial planning engagement. This includes setting up new investment accounts, consolidation/transferring current accounts to our management, and establishing monthly savings or withdrawals from your accounts. We can also work with insurance carriers to obtain life, disability or long-term care coverage you or your family may need.

We take a holistic view of wealth management and look at all the ways we can enhance your financial situation. Investments and insurance are a large part of the process. We have in-house accountants and attorneys to review opportunities for tax and estate planning. In addition, we offer a range of services to help business owners with their business’ planning needs.

While we do not prepare or file tax returns for our clients, we do work alongside our clients’ CPAs to identify tax planning efficiencies or opportunities to enhance their overall financial situation. Any recommendations will be developed in tandem with the client’s tax professional.

Understanding and providing guidance as it pertains to our client’s overall estate plan is a very important part of the planning process. We have attorneys on our team whose role is to help our clients understand their current plan and work with their estate planning attorney to make any necessary updates or changes. If a client does not have an estate plan in place, we will help them find a practicing attorney who can help them execute the correct estate planning documents. While we do not actively draft estate planning documents, it is very important for us to work hand in hand with our clients to ensure these documents are referenced for asset titling, beneficiaries, and account structure.

Foster Victor has engaged Charles Schwab as custodian. This means that your assets are held directly in their custody, ensuring they are with one of the largest and most financially sound institutions in the U.S. In addition, we also work with Interactive Brokers, American Funds, and several other 401(k) providers based on the client’s needs and situation.

There are several factors that will guide these decisions, including a client’s overall risk tolerance, time frame until retirement, and experience investing. We spend a significant amount of time building and adjusting our clients’ written financial plans during different life stages to reflect changing perspectives. The financial plan itself serves as a guidepost to help us make informed decisions around each client’s investment strategy.

At Foster Victor, we believe successful investing requires a holistic approach that includes these key components:

  • Long-Term Focus: this creates durability of returns
  • Personalized Asset Allocation: driven by client risk tolerance and investment time horizons
  • Diversification: targeted across asset classes, geographies, sectors, and styles to mitigate risk
  • Active Management: capitalizes on market inefficiencies
  • No Market Timing: removes short-term, emotional decisions that can detract from returns
  • Process and Experience: repeatable discipline provides consistency, with experience to interpret, implement, and adapt

No, we offer a suite of private market investments—also referred to as alternative investments—that include private equity, private credit, and real estate investments.
